The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region.

TiE Philadelphia is a chapter within TiE Global, focused specifically on the development of the entrepreneur, entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Philadelphia. We conduct around 50 to 60 events a year across multiple topics. We also partner with several other industry and entrepreneurship organizations to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the local ecosystem.
The mission of TiE is to foster entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding and incubation. With a focus of giving back to the community, Tie’s focus is on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.
By assisting entrepreneurs, we believe we can empower individuals and create wealth in communities.

Sashi Reddi is the founder and managing partner of SRI Capital, an early stage venture capital firm based in Philadelphia. Previously Sashi was founder and CEO of AppLabs, a 2,500 person software testing services company that he sold to CSC. Sashi serves on the board of Wharton Entrepreneurship as well as T-Hub, India’s largest incubator. He lives in Gladwyne with his wife and son.

Previously, Doc was part of the founding team at AppLabs, a 2,500 person software testing services company that was backed by Sequoia and sold to CSC. Doc serves on the board of Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA and Broad Street Angels which he also a co-founded. Doc lives in Philadelphia with his wife.
Aisha Zia Khan
Aisha Zia Khan is co-founder and Director of Twelve Gates Arts (12G), a Philadelphia-based South Asian arts nonprofit. Ms. Khan has extensive experience in arts administration and organizing art-related events. With a degree in Social Work, there is a socially aware angle to her work. Prior to founding 12G, Ms. Khan worked at Merrill Lynch for six years as AVP strategic and planning analyst and a financial analyst. Aisha Khan is currently a member of the Philadelphia Mayor’s Commission on Asian American Affairs. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and 10 year old son.

Aljit is currently Chief Business Officer at EyeIO (http://www.eyeio.com) an AI video company in Palo Alto, CA. He is Founder and Managing director at CIRQUARE- an early stage venture investment firm.
Previously, as SVP of Technology and Product at Comcast, he launched Innovation Labs (CIL), and led the creation of multiple customer facing products and platforms in Wireless and Consumer Video, Comcast’s industry-leading X1 video platform. He expanded CIL’s operations to Silicon Valley, Denver and Israel. He also held roles in Product Development and Strategic Planning at Comcast.
Prior to Comcast, Aljit worked at AT Kearney, as a key leader in the Telecom and HiTech practice of the global management consultancy.
He is currently a Trustee of Eastern University in Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from Babson College, MA, and a BS from Widener University.
Vinod O. Menezes
Mr. Menezes is the current CEO of Atlantic Subsea – a leading marine infrastructure firm in New Jersey. He actively serves on the advisory Board of Columbia Bank, New Jersey, and is the current Chairman of Father Muller Charitable Foundation, USA. He was the founding Vice Chair of FAEE, Rockefeller Center, New York and is an active mentor to fresh start-up companies and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
r. Michals co-founded Cross Properties in 2010 leading the company to invest $500 million into award winning residential rental communities. From 1993-2004, Kevin was a successful financial adviser to Silicon Valley executives at Merrill Lynch and Citigroup.
Mr. Michals currently sits of the Boards of Covenant Mercies, Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, City Ave Special Services District and Tern Water.
Kevin is passionate about corporate culture, building community and entrepreneurship.
Iain Fitzpatrick is a Founder of Innovation Ecosystem, a professional services firm that helps organizations be more open to, and gain access to, multiple perspectives to strengthen their innovation capabilities. Previously he was a Partner at Hay Group, a privately held global management consultancy before its sale to Korn Ferry. Iain is originally from Scotland where early in his career he had a particularly unsuccessful time as a professional footballer. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters.
Charter Membership Chair
Bryan Rishforth is the Founder and Managing Principal of R&R Global Partners, LLC, an international private investment firm which specializes in retail, commercial real estate, growth technology and franchise development. He brings over 25 years of experience with GE Capital leading business segments through successful global expansions and product launches. Upon leaving GE Capital in 2005 Bryan served as a senior executive providing private equity operations management and buyout advisory services at Cerberus Capital Management.
Bryan is a founding Board Member of TiE Philadelphia Chapter and Chair of its Charter Membership Committee. He has been a long time member of The Union League of Philadelphia. Bryan is an Electrical and Computer Engineering Eta Kappa Nu honors graduate from Drexel University and an alumnus of GE’s Executive Development, Corporate Audit Staff and Advanced Six Sigma programs (certified Black Belt and Master Black Belt). He resides with his wife and daughter in the Main Line area of Philadelphia, PA.
